Learning Impact NG hosted leading members of the Human Resources and Workplace Learning Community in Lagos at its 2011 Workplace learning Roundtable. Participants at the event were drawn from notable organizations in the banking, oil & Gas, Financial Services, FMCG and Conglomerate sectors of the Economy. the Half-day event was facilitated by Learning Impact NG Founder and CEO, Mr Gbitse Barrow, and focused on the Learning Impact Model that links learning activities to change, and holds that for learning to really create an impact and lead to positive change, training design and delivery must be anchored on fundamental change management principles. The research done by Learning Impact NG and presented at the forum shows the relationship between learning activities and the ADKAR Change Management Model. Mr Barrow had in 2010 in Chicago USA made a similar presentation of this research to a wider audience of participants at the American Society for Training & Development ("ASTD") Conference.
The event was highly interactive, and included a discussion of a fictional case study - "the Alpha Co", which inspired meaningful discussions and insights frrom the participants, as well as provided 'teaching moments"for Gbitse to share some of his personal stories and experiences about learning and leadership.
As usual, our impact gallery crew were on hand to capture the sights from the event
