Strategic Retreat for Air Separation Limited

Air Separation Limited, a medium sized manufacturing firm with factories in Lagos and Jos, specializing in the manufacture of oxygen for industrial and hospital use, as well as in the installation and running of oxygen plants in leading hospitals throughout the country held its Strategic Retreat at ikeja Lagos for three days between 08 and 10 march, and Learning Impact NG CEO and Founder, Gbitse Barrow facilitated the session. The company's executive and senior managers spent the three days crafting a new Vision and Mission Statement, a set of Values, articulating the critical success factors for the business, and coming up with a strategy document with Key performance indicators and responsibilities. CEO of Air Separation Mr Sosan Akpieyi began the sessions with an insightful and thought provoking journey into the history of the Company, which we all found very informative and inspiring. The Learning Impact Faculty applied a number of group facilitation techniques - brainstorming, peer review and feedback, group and individaul projects and powerful story telling to get delegates to pay for their seats and contribute to building a strategy for the next few years. The quality of participation was very high - a testimony to the level of leadership in the Company, and an open work culture. We also used a number of business analysis tools to achieve our results. Overall, we did achieve tangible results. As usual our cameras were on hand, and below are a few memorable pieces from the retreat.
